Lavender & Limbs was founded in 2024. Kali was born with a limb difference; Fibula Hemimelia. Fibula Hemimelia is when a child is born with a short or missing fibula bone and other bones in the lower leg can be affected. At six years old, Kali’s parents had to make a tough choice of leg lengthening or foot amputation. Her parent’s ultimately felt amputation was the best decision to limit a lifetime of surgeries and having no guarantee of success with leg lengthening. Kali has had over 25 years of experience as a below the knee amputee and using a prosthetic leg.
Driven by the mission to alleviate the financial burden and challenges faced by individuals with limb diversity, Lavender & Limbs operates with integrity, empathy, and a commitment to inclusivity.
